Web.com has acquired the domain registrar, Network Solutions, for $ 405 million in cash and 18 million shares, the transaction is valued at $ 560.8 million.
Network Solutions is currently owned by private equity firm General Atlantic offers: domain registration, e-commerce, search engine optimization, web hosting, email and other online services to millions of small businesses.
Web.com says there is a large market for search engine optimization, internet marketing, Facebook, mobile deals, and more at Network Solutions, two million private customers and hundreds of merchants.
Last year Web.com spent $135 million for Register.com
